GROW
Our farmers grow
organic Robusta cherries. Naturally, with coffee, some cherries will ripen faster than others.
Harvest
Once the cherries have mostly matured to a red color, the farmers hand pick the
harvest - a long and tedious process.
collect
Farmers collect their cherries and begin to sort out the green cherries that were not yet ripe for picking.
Dry
To remove the fruit from the bean and to eliminate most of the moisture content, farmers must dry the cherries.
hull
After drying, a parchment still surrounds the bean. The cherries must be hulled to removed that parchment.
Grade & Roast
It is essential for proper roasting that beans are graded. After doing so, they are ready for roasting.
Package
Lastly, we package our beans into our environmentally-friendly kitenge. The roast is ready to be brewed and enjoyed.
